–Mrs. John A. Bixenman, a life-long resident of this county, died at her home, one and a half miles west of Alda, at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, following an illness of only one day. She was 54 years of age.
Emma K. Krull was born on a farm four and a half miles east of Wood River (Nebraska), April 21, 1882. She was married to John A. Bixenman, on June 4, 1901. Mr. Bixenman died July 29, 1930, while a son, William J., died on March 11, 1915.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stroshein of Alda; two grandchildren, William F., and Hazel A. Stroshein; a sister, Mrs. Ray Fulmer of Alda; three brothers, August A. Krull of Alda, and Frank P. and John Krull of Wood River; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Bixenman of Alda, and Nat Bixenman of Hammond, Ind. and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lydia Stroup, of Ringgold, Texas. Mrs. Bixenman was confirmed in the Lutheran church when a child.
