“Country Correspondence – Wood River”
Addison H. Blass died at his home last Friday June 14, at 3:45 a.m. of heart trouble at the age of 49 years six months and 29 days. Mr. Blass had been poorly for a number of years. He was born September 15, 1862 at Durham, New York. He was married in 1882 to Miss Eva Ingerham of Ashland, New York. Mr. and Mrs. Blass moved to Nebraska in 1886. Five children were born to this union, one of which died before they left New York. One has died since their arrival in Nebraska. The three children left to mourn his loss are Mrs. Clyde Powell, Mrs. Reah Blass and Addison Blass. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the M. E. church, Rev. W. C. Wright officiating. Interment was made in the Wood River cemetery.
