Wood River, May 8 – W. J. Chidester passed away at the I.O.O.F. home at York, Neb., at 6:45 o’clock Sunday evening. Mr. Chidester is an old resident of Wood River and his many friends will be grieved to learn of his death. Mr. Chidester leaves to mourn his loss one daughter, Mrs. W. T. Spelts, of Ulysses, Neb., formerly of this place. Mrs. Chidester preceded him in death some few years ago. His remains will be brought to Wood River Tuesday evening on No. 3, and the funeral will be held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. the remains will be laid in the Wood River cemetery.
