Stricken with an attack of apoplexy, Mrs. Lucy Garrison, 83, a member of the Soldier’s Home at Burkett, died suddenly at Pershing hospital about 8:30 o’clock Sunday evening. Mrs. Garrison was apparently as well as usual at the time of the attack. She was born in Indiana in 1847, and was admitted to membership at the Burkett institution on Sept. 12, 1925, from Wood River, Neb. The only known immediate relative surviving is a son, Charles Garrison of Wood River. The body was taken overland Monday to Wood River, where funeral services and burial will be held.
