Wayne E. Heminger, 22, of Grand Island, formerly of Wood River, died early Sunday, Sept. 15, in a car pedestrian accident near Grand Island.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Wood River Cemetery. The Rev. Karen Kennerly will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Apfel Funeral Home of Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Wood River Rescue Unit or the Wood River Cemetery Fund.
Mr. Heminger was born April 17, 1969, at Aurora to Dewey and Dianne (Slobaszewski) Heminger. He attended Wood River Schools. After his education he worked as a laborer of Wood River; a laborer in the Grand Island area.
He was baptized in the Presbyterian Faith.
Survivors include his parents, Dewey and Dianne Heminger of Wood River; one brother, Robert of Wood River; one sister Holly Heminger of Wood River and Grandparents.
