Luebs, Henry F.

Came to America in 1874. He was first located in Iowa and six months later came to Nebraska. He farmed for thirty years in Hall County, Nebraska. In 1914, he retired from farming and moved to Grand Island.

In 1869, he married Miss Sylvia Plath who died in 1883. Children surviving from this marriage were: Mrs. Henry Tamms of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Nicholas Luebs of Oklahoma; and Herman Luebs and John Luebs of Wood River, Nebraska.  

On December 19, 1884, Henry married Miss Anna Plath. Ten children were born to this marriage, of whom eight survived him. They were Rosa Luebs of Grand Island, Rudolph and Albert Luebs of Wood River; August Luebs of Lincoln; Henry Luebs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Alma Luebs of Omaha and Alfred Luebs and Marie Luebs who were attending school in Lincoln. A sister, residing in Germany and a brother residing in Nebraska, also survived him.

~~Rosa Margaretha Catharine Luebs, mentioned as a survivor, was born to Henry and Anna Plath on March 1, 1885.
