Death of Mrs. Edward (sic) Pry
Mrs. Edward Pry died at her home northeast of Shelton Wednesday of last week, following an illness of several years, during which time she endured much suffering. Martha Anderson Lowe was born in Dunbarton (sic), Scotland, September 23, 1875, and came with her parents to America when but twelve years of age. The family located near Wood River in the year of 1887 where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Edward Pry at Grand Island October 6, 1909, and they have since resided on a farm northeast of Shelton. Mrs. Pry’s father and mother both proceeded her in death and besides the husband she leaves one brother, John Lowe, of Wood River. Mrs. Pry was a member of the United Bretheren church at Northfield and took much interest in church work. The husband and other grief stricken relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their sad bereavement. funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Shelton Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock and were conducted by Rev. Glenn R. Pease. Interment was had in the Wood River cemetery.
