Son of Fredrick & Mabel (Miller) Rainforth.
Married to Iva Price on 8-1-1934 at Hastings, NE.
In March of 1935, the Rainforths moved to a farm east of Rosedale and in 1938 they moved to a farm south of Wood River, where Mr. Rainforth lived and farmed until May of 2002. Besides growing farm crops, he raised horses, mules, hogs, cattle and buffaloes. In the 1940s and ’50s he operated a dairy. During that time period he also raised registered quarterhorses, for which he and his sons received many ribbons and trophies. In 1975 he bought his first buffaloes and raised many of their calves until 2000. During the summer months he furnished the buffaloes exhibits at Stuhr Museum.
