Wood River, Neb., July (Special Dispatch)–Dr. H. L. Starkey, 67, died at his home here about 9 a.m. Saturday. The doctor had been in bad physical condition for some time suffering from nervous disorders, chronic bronchitis, heart trouble and general physical breakdown. For the past year he has been receiving treatment at a government hospital at Hot Springs, S. D., and at the time of his death was only home for a brief visit.
He had practiced medicine in Wood River since 1909 and enjoyed a most successful practice. Besides his wife he is survived by four adopted children. Funeral arrangements are pending word from out-of-town relatives.
