Wood River, Neb., Jan. 7 (Special Dispatch)–A message received by Mrs. Josh Greenwood announced the death of her father, Charles J. S. Trout, 76, which occurred Saturday evening at the home of a son, Harry, in Los Angeles, Cal. Mr. Trout was born March 24, 1852, and came to Wood River in 1870 with his parents, for many years residing on a farm northeast of here.
Surviving are two sons, Harry, of Los Angeles, Earl, of Oakland, Cal., and two daughters, Mrs. Dessie Breakenridge, of Del Roy, Cal., and Mrs. Bertha Greenwood, of Wood River. The body will arrive in Wood River at 10 p.m., Wednesday evening, accompanied by the son, Harry. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. W. H. Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Wood River cemetery.
