From a “History of Hall County, Nebraska” page 541, printed about 1920 it is noted that Roy Watson was a 3rd Class Seaman. He was born at Wood River, Nebraska and enlisted in the U. S. Navy at Omaha, Nebraska on December 3, 1917. He then served at Great Lakes, Illinois; Philadelphia, PA and was assigned to the USS Corolla, a transport ship. He was in the Naval Military Police at Brest, France.
