Newspaper accounts vary on both the date of death and the age at death. Death could have been as early as June 5 or possibly a week later which would be June 12. One account gives his age as 9 months. Middle name also could be Laverne not Lawrence.

Fred, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Burmood of Wood River, aged six months, died at St. Francis Hospital Monday night of bowel trouble. The remains were sent to Wood River for interment.

Lose Their Baby
Frederick Lawrence, the little 6 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Burmood died June 6, from strangulation and gangrene of the bowels. Funeral services were held from the home of J. M. Wiggins conducted by Rev. Lorimar and the interment took place in the Wood River Cemetery. The sympathy of the community go out to the bereaved parents in their affliction.
