AGED LADY FOUND DEAD
Wood River, July 11 – Mrs. H. M. Jones, for many years a resident of this place, was found dead yesterday afternoon on her kitchen floor by Mrs. Maggie Palmer, her neighbor. She had been out all day to visit her daughter, Mrs. William Packer, residing near town and was at home only a short time before she was found. The telephone receiver was off the hook in the house and it is presumed that she felt a spell of sickness, to which she was subject, coming on and attempted to call for assistance.
Mrs. Jones leaves one daughter, Mrs. William Packer of Wood River, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Howe and Mrs. Sherer of California, and Mrs. Hennigan of Salt Lake City; three brothers, O. S. Hileman of Wood River, Willis and Cash Hileman of California; also a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Claud Jones of Rawlins, Wyo., who recently visited at Wood River for a short time and went to Grand Island to visit with her mother, Mrs. Nyboe. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from the First M. E. church.
