William H. “Bill” Keller, 81, of Grand Island, formerly of Spearfish, S.D., died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at Golden Living Center Park Place in Grand Island. 

Bill was born on May 10, 1930, in Loysville, Pa., to Edward and Gertrude (Goe) Keller.

Bill married Dorothy Waldner on June 8, 1951, in Huron, S.D. 

Survivors are: wife, Dorothy Keller of Grand Island; sons and daughters-in-law, Robyn and Jolynn Keller of Bismarck, N.D., Jody Keller of Denver, Brad and Carol Keller of S. Royalton, Vt.; daughter and son-in-law, Randa and Hector Faz of Grand Island; daughter-in-law, Joyce Keller of Drayton, N.D.; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Pete Kohl of Liverpool, Pa.; grandchildren, Heidi, Chris, Nicole, Hector, Anthony, Natasha, Molly, Krista, Annie, Nathan, Sophie and Vicky; 19 great-grandchildren, Riley, Lucy, Finley, Tyler, Gavin, Jordan, Mariah, Christian, Hunter, Anthony, Carsten, Rylie, Eli, Gracie, Joel, Isaak, Calvin, Nolan and Sydney.

Bill was an avid fisherman and loved to fish. 

He retired from the South Dakota Department of Transportation in Custer, S.D., in 1990. Before moving to Grand Island two years ago, Bill and Dorothy lived in Spearfish, S.D. 

He loved the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June.

Bill was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Jamie and sister, Rosalie.

Inurnment was in the Wood River Cemetery, Wood River, NE.
