Marcia (Smith) Bloom, passed away February 18, 2021. Marcia was born and raised in Wood River, NE, but has lived in Albuquerque since 1956.
Marcia spent the major part of her work life at Kirtland Air Force Base for the Department of the Army. Her honesty and dedication to her principals of life were second to none. There were no bounds to her desire to enhance her husband, Sigmund’s life. She was a very private person and to know her was to love her. Her life was enhanced by her hometown friends, books, Big Band music and country-western dancing with Sigmund. She was preceded in death by her father Cleo C. Smith and mother Alice G. Smith (Bald).
She is survived by her loving husband Sigmund, daughters Roxanne Richerson and Kelly Custer, step-son Sigmund M. Bloom, step-daughter Lori Langsdorf, three grandchildren,
and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Marilyn Bush and Carol Lee Harrison. Marcia’s family thanks all those who touched her life and were a part of it. According to Marcia’s wishes, she was cremated and there will be no service – please make a donation in her memory to your local Animal Humane Association.
