Mildred “Millie” Lorraine Weavers

February 5, 1943 – March 26, 2024

GRAND ISLAND –

Mildred “Millie” Lorraine Weavers, 81, of Grand Island passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Service and a Celebration of Millie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, at All Faiths Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wood River Cemetery.

There is a visitation from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Millie was born February 5, 1943, in Kearney, the daughter of Ernest and Esther (Zimmerman) Snider. She received her education in Bradshaw and Cairo, graduating from Cairo High School.

After she relocated to Ogallala, Millie worked at the Ogallala Courthouse for several years. She eventually moved to Grand Island and worked in the Grand Island Courthouse also.

Millie loved to dance and her favorite pastime was “dancing with the cowboys”! She also enjoyed country music, camping, and competition shooting. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those who cherish her memory include her children, LeRoy Weavers (Denise Bloome) of Wood River and Lorraine Eagleton of Grand Island; five grandchildren, Sara (Scott) Venteicher, April (Scott) Borgmann, Levi Eagleton, Mandi Weavers and Staci Weavers; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, David Snider of Lincoln; sister, Carolyn Snider of Plattsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fredrick Snider, Kenneth Snider and John Snider; and sisters, Lucy Peterson and Marilyn Rice.

Memorials are suggested to GRACE Cancer Foundation, an organization near and dear to Millie.
